Sharp Sensei is a 7th dan (Nana Dan JKA), JKA instructor A level, JKA Examiner B with special Dan and qualification rights, and B level judge. He trained in Japan under 7th Dan Master Yasuo Sakurai for two years.  Don Sharp Sensei is brought in to teach yearly seminars in Shotokan dojos in Quebec, the Yukon, Alberta, Australia, Germany, and at other locations.

Having competed with both the JKA and NKA Provincial and National Teams for almost two decades, Don Sharp is known as a top-level competitor, but he takes pride in well rounded training curriculum taught in his program.  No one facet of the art is left underdeveloped in favour of another.

Sharp Sensei is a National Level Instructor, was one of the BC team coaches for the KBC and National Team Coach for the JKA.  He is the former President of JKA-SKD Canada.  Currently Sensei Don is the Technical Chairman of JKA BC, and Technical Member of JKA-SKD Canada. As a qualified instructor, and certified coach, he has the ability to instruct an individual student in their area of interest, be it in competition, self-defense, or fitness.

Friday: Plainsman Arena 320 Centre Ave E, Airdrie, AB
Saturday: Vecova Recreation Center  3304 33 Street NW, Calgary, AB T2L 2A6
 
Friday:     6:30 to 7:45 p.m. (all belts)
                 7:45 to 8:30 p.m. (green and up – Sandan Grading content + Jutte + Jion)
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. (all belts – Sharp Sensei’s choice)
                  10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (all belts – Heian Godan and Heian Yondan – hips )
                  11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  (all belts –  Jyu Kumite – foot work/angles)
                  12:00 p.m. to 1:00      p.m. (lunch)
                  1:00 p.m.  to 2:30 p.m. (green and up – Meikyo and Sochin - judging)
                  2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Black Belt Grading)
 
Please show up 20 minutes before the training starts!
Training Fees: Please register and pay before March 29) – After this date, please ad $10 per member
Friday only: green and up $50  -  white to orange $35
Saturday only: green and up $90  -  white to orange $70      
 All Camp: green and up $125  -  white to orange $90   
People grading you are required to attend all training sessions
